Yunis is a producer and co-founder and Kafr El-Dauwar Records. In the Egyptian music scene, the word “mawlid” is associated with many different styles. We see it, of course, related to the Sufi mawlids and the aesthetics that accompany them in terms of unique playing and singing. In the second episode of the “Al Mawlid” series, Yunus presents an hour of Sheikh Ahmed Barryn’s works, in which he displays his own style and unique aesthetics.
